We are back for my family meal plan – week 2. Last weeks meal plan was quite popular. And best of all I was sent some great recipe ideas. I will try and incorporate them into my weekly meal plans, please keep sending them. I am always on the lookout for new recipes.
You can find last week’s family meal plan here. And to make things even easier, I have also pinned all the recipes into a weekly meal section on my Pinterest. Just click here to find the Pinterest board. If you follow the board, you get notifications when I upload a new meal plan.
Let’s get to the family meal plan for next week.
MONDAY – SAUSAGE, PEPPER AND RICE SKILLET
This meal especially is quick and easy to cook. And instead of the mentioned sausages, we buy the bigger pack Mattessons Smoked Sausage. You can also add more veggies to it. You can find the recipe here.
TUESDAY – CREAMY DIJON PORK CHOPS
This is up there with some of our favourite pork dishes. We substitute the cream for milk to be a bit more healthy. Serve it with your favourite green vegetables and creamy mash. You can find the recipe here.
WEDNESDAY – CREAMY CHICKEN PASTA & BACON
And here is another quick 30-minute meal, perfect for when you have to collect kids from various after school clubs. We sometimes substitute the sundried tomatoes for tinned tomatoes. You can find the recipe here.
THURSDAY – TACOS OR WRAPS
We love taco meat in our house. You can top it with lots of different vegetables, sour cream, salsa, guacamole and mountains of cheese. We like to mix peppers and finely tomatoes in the taco mix and top it with extra salad. And if you’re not keen on the crunchy taco shells, you can also put everything in a wrap, or in these stand and stuff shells from Old El Paso. They are perfect for little hands. You can find the recipe for the taco mince here.
FRIDAY – FISH FLORENTINE
This is a super quick meal to make. Best of all you can use any white fish for this recipe. Serve it with boiled (skin on or skinless) potatoes on the side. You can find the recipe here.
SATURDAY – JOHN LEGEND’S MACARONI CHEESE
This has to got be the best macaroni cheese recipe there is. You know it’s going to be a good mac & cheese recipe if it contains eggs. John Legend really outdid himself there. You can find the recipe here.
SUNDAY – POT ROAST
We love a good roast on Sunday. And the best thing is, this one is cooked in the slow cooker. I normally don’t add the potatoes, as we prefer roast potatoes on a Sunday. You can find the recipe here.
That’s it for this week’s meal plan, let me know what you think of the meals. I would love to hear your favourite recipes, we are always looking for new ones to try.
Last but not least, I will be uploading the meal plan for the following week every Saturday morning.
