Family Meal Plan – Week 4

Family Meal Plan - Week 4

Hello and welcome back to my family meal plan – week 4.

This week I have included my own recipe for Lasagne, which is our favourite pasta dish. I’m hoping to be adding at least one of my own recipes each week. Have you seen my Brownie recipe? You can find it here.

You can find last week’s family meal plan here. And to make things even easier, I have also pinned all the recipes into a weekly meal section on my Pinterest. Just click here to find the Pinterest board. If you follow the board, you get notifications when I upload a new meal plan. They get uploaded every Saturday morning, in time for our weekly food shop.

Let’s get to the family meal plan for next week.

Monday – Lasagne

We love lasagne, it’s one of our favourite comfort foods. It’s easy to prepare in advance, I like preparing it in the morning or the night before, as it then just needs to go in the oven in time for dinner. This is actually my own recipe, that I’ve perfected over the years. I would love to know what you think of it. We eat with garlic bread and salad on the side.

You can find the recipe here.

Tuesday – Chicken Cordon Bleu

Now, this might look like a lot of effort if you could just as well buy them ready-made from the shop. But the homemade version tastes so much nicer and there are just a few super easy steps to follow. We like it with chips and salad on the side.

You can find the recipe here.

Wednesday – Toad in the hole with a twist

Another kid’s favourite but with a twist! This one has bacon-wrapped sausages and is topped with cheese. We made this a couple of weeks ago and it went down a treat at home. Serve it with mash and peas.

You can find the recipe here.

Thursday – Beef Stir Fry

A quick and veggie-loaded stir fry. It’s packed with flavours and we love having it with rice or noodles. We won’t add the zucchinis, as no one likes them at home, but will likely replace them with another vegetable.

You can find the recipe here.

Friday – Pizza

Friday used to be traditionally Pizza nights, but we all got a bit fed up. So I swapped it for fish. This week we’re going for Pizza again, as it’s perfect for Miley and her friend, they can decorate their own pizzas. There’s an easy hack I use for stuffed crust, just buy string cheese. Simply cut it into smaller pieces, or leave it as one. Put it near the edges and fold the pizza dough over it.

You can find the recipe here.

Saturday – Honey Garlic Pork With Fried Rice

My 7-year-old actually requested this meal. She likes having a look around for different meals and she’s much more open to trying new things then. We love the sounds of this recipe and other than sesame seeds, we normally have everything in the house. The recipe calls for red pepper flakes, now other than Costco I haven’t really seen them in the UK. But you can just substitute it with rainbow peppercorns.

You can find the recipe here.

Sunday – Irish Beef Stew

I don’t think there is any comfort food better than a hearty stew, especially when its a stormy day outside. I’ve cooked this recipe before and we really enjoyed it. It’s even a hit with little kids.

You can find the recipe here.

That’s it for the family meal plan – week 4, I really hope you liked my Lasagne recipe. We will start on our Christmas baking soon. Let me know if you would like me to upload some of my Christmas recipes as well?

I will be including slow cooker recipes in next week’s family meal plan.

Last but not least, I will be uploading the meal plan for the following week every Saturday morning. If you like the weekly meal, I would love for you to subscribe to my mailing list, so you never miss a new post.
