Family Meal Plan - Week 6

Hello and welcome back to my family meal plan – week 6. This weeks plan went up a day later than planned as I had some difficulties uploading it. I’ve included some more comfort meals this week and a homemade version of fish fingers.

Let’s get to the family meal plan for next week.

Monday – One Pan Smothered Chicken

We’ve cooked this recipe so many times, it’s one favourite. Its Chicken Smothered in a creamy sauce with crumbly bacon bits. We love serving it with mash.

Tuesday – Burger & Chips

Okay, this one is definitely not a healthy burger. But it looks oh so god and every now and again you’ve got to ignore the health aspect. Every part of this burger is cooked in butter, but it looks great with a side of fries. I stumbled across this recipe the other day and can’t wait to try it out.

Wednesday – Loaded Baked Potato Soup

This recipe can easily be made in the slow cooker as well. You can also swap the bacon for ham. It’s basically a creamier version of a jacket potato. Your kids will love it, my daughter picked this recipe.

Thursday - Sausage & Lentil Casserole

This one is actually a slimming world recipe, it's not something I follow but it looks really nice. It comes with a sweet and tangy bbq type sauce, sure to be a hit in our house.

Friday - Homemade Fish Fingers/Pieces

Back to Fish Fridays! We love breaded fish, but we're not a big fan of the store-bought ones. They never taste as nice or fresh, as the homemade version. This is really easy to make, I get my daughter to help with this meal. And the fish always comes out super crispy.

Saturday - Slowcooker Taco Pasta

I love slow cooker meals and anything I can prepare in advance on Saturdays. This combines two of our favourites; Mexican and pasta. There are also lot's of vegetables in this recipe, which you can swap to your liking.

Sunday - Parmesan Crusted Steak & Potato

Parmesan Crusted Potatoes sound like a winner and the whole meal is a one-pan sheet meal. Nothing I like more on Sunday, as roast dinners normally leave me with a million and one dishes to clean up. If your kids aren't big on asparagus, just swap it out for any other vegetable.

You can buy flank steak at Costco in the UK, but you could also use a different type of steak for this recipe.
