Family Meal Plan – Week 7

Family Meal Plan - Week 6

I know, I’ve not been uploading plans recently things have been super busy and we took some time to just focus on us as family. But I’m back to uploading them on a weekly basis again.

We’ve started with the baby led-weaning as well, so keep your eyes out for lots of baby friendly meals in the next posts.

As always, you can find last week’s family meal plan here. And to make things even easier, I have also pinned all the recipes into a weekly meal section on my Pinterest. Just click here to find the Pinterest board. If you follow the board, you get notifications when I upload a new meal plan. They get uploaded every Saturday morning, in time for our weekly food shop.

Let’s have a look at next weeks meal plan. I’ve tried to incorporate more healthier meals than normal as well.

Monday – Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

I’ve cooked something like this as a one pan sheet dinner before, but I love the idea of chucking it all in the slow cooker. What a time saver for the afternoon, as can I focus on the kids instead of prepping dinner after school.

Tuesday – Veggie Quesadillas

We love a good mexican dish at home, but it’s rare that we have meals without meat at home. My husband and daughter always complain that a meal doesn’t fill them without the meat, but I’m hoping that this one will do the trick. Swap the veggies around and make it with or without beans.

Wednesday – Garlic Butter Pork Bites and Lemon Green Beans

This look so good and I love the pork is cut up into small pieces, rather than big pork chops. This is probably the meal, that I’m most looking forward to.

Thursday – Loaded Burger Bowls

Dare I say, this a one-fits-all dish? Well almost, it’s not vegetarian or vegan but it’s low-carb, healthy and it still feels like you’re cheating and eating comfort food. I’ve been really struggling to find italian sausages in the UK, so I decided to go for some herby cumberlands instead.

You can find the recipe here.

Friday – Whole Weat Turkey Chilli Mac

This will be actually our lunch time meal, as kids finish school around lunchtime here and we’ve been invited to a friends house for dinner. This meal is baby and toddler friendly as well. I’ve cooked this before and I love freezing extra portions for the kids. It went down a treat last time and my daughter loves the magic (kidney) beans in there.

You can find the recipe here.

Saturday – Spaghetti Meatballs

Spaghetti and Meatballs by CookingForKeeps

My daughter has her friend over on Saturday and she’s requested her spaghetti meatballs. And every kid loves meatballs, which is always an added bonus. We love this recipe and have been using for years whenever we make spaghetti and meatballs.

Sunday – Slowcooker Texas Pulled Pork

Texas Pulled Pork by HouseofYumm

This is one of our favourite slow cooker meals. We’re a big fan of american style meats and are regular watchers of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We love the Texas Spice Rub and I always a keep ready made mixture in my cupboard. It’s great on a flank steaks and a lots of other meats. We love eating it, in a brioche bun with extra bbq sauce and coleslaw.
